in a nutshell.

V.
Hello guys! :) Once again, sorry for not updating the blog for over a week now- major exam stress at the moment. The Gothic Age and its art forms. Do I need to say more? It's gotten so bad that I've actually already dreamt of living in medieval ages last night, standing on a hill and telling random strangers in my dream that the castle (which I had learned about the day before) that we were able to see from up there is Burg Karlstein and that it was built in 1348. I was so confused by my own intelligence at that moment that I immediately woke up. Well. I'll leave the rest to all of you dream interpreters out there, but I guess, it's pretty obvious that I'm obsessed with the Gothic period. Alright. But to now tell you in a quick manner what I've been up to during the past few days,- here's my week/weekend flashback combined with photos and words:

Thursday.

On Thurday, drumroll please..-  I bought myself a new Lipstick. Exciting, isn't it? Since I almost never buy myself makeup without having to think it over for at least 3 days, I thought that this impulse purchase was worth mentioning. As I watched the latest Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on Youtube last weekend and kept thinking to myself,- "why the hell does Doutzen Kroes always have such incredibily beautiful lips?" I figured, why not find a lipstick that's similar to hers. And voilà, here it is:
The Loréal Doutzen Kroes lipstick for 12€. I honestly gotta say, it impressed me more at the store and looking at it now, it doesn't really do it for me any more. But maybe that's just because of the light. And with a little transparent lipgloss on top, it's definitely better than wearing no lipstick at all. :)

On Thursday I also met my aunt Susi for dinner (she's not really my aunt though, I just call her "aunt" all the time. :) )

She took me to a place called Cafe Dommayer, which is a quite well known coffeehouse and here in Vienna.

After having drooled over the many wonderful snacks in the cabinets we ordered ourselves some cake and toast,- yum! :)

We shared a very nice conversation together and of course I had to take pictures of my surroundings as usual. :) In the late evening aunt Susi drove me to the train station as I still wanted to go to the countryside that day. As a little surprise she bought my one of my favourite snacks of all time- macaroons! :)

I pretty much ate all of them up on the train,- they were so delicious!

Friday.

On Friday my parents invited some of their oldest friends to lunch and coffee. I always love it when my mom cooks many different courses for many people, 'cause it means that there are always many leftovers the next day for me to taste. :) However, on Friday I was eating with them and the meals were delicious as always.

I also gave one of my dearest friends a birthday present box that day, which was of course personalized again by those super cute birthday photo cards I always make - as I simply love their design! :)

Haha.. that's the birthday kid and me a long, long time ago. :)

Saturday.

The rest of Friday and Saturday I spent at my boyfriend's place and did some more learning for my exam. In the evening Mike proposed to go to a movie he was very interested in seeing. I'm sure most of you guys know and already love that movie - The Hunger Games. I honestly am the most not-up-to-date-person (is that a word? ) when it comes to movies, books or bands, as I don't go to the cinema very often, I don't read (shocker!) and I only listen to the same old playlists on my Ipod over and over and over again. So going to watch the Hunger Games (which I thought would turn out to be a science fiction movie about elves and stuff) seemed to be quite a huge overcoming for me. But,- I actually watched that movie. Me, the person who only a few days ago asked a friend why Jennifer Lawrence wears the excact same outfit in her two new upcoming movies "The Hunger Games" and "Die Tribute von Panem" (which, if you speak german, is the excact same movie only with german title). Well, but I didn't know that. So after making a fool of myself as usual, my boyfriend explained the details of the first part to me and then we were off to the cinema. And I really gotta say,- it was kind of interesting. I can't really put my finger on it- did I like it or not? I'm not sure. It definitely has many socio-critical and highly relevant messages in there, which made me very pensive after leaving the cinema hall. And also, I totally fell in love with Jennifer Lawrence. As usual, I am a late bloomer when it comes to realizing how charismatic and great some people are, as Esther was the one who told already me about a year ago that Jennifer Lawrence is such a cool person and that I should definitely watch some of her clips on Youtube. As always, I didn't do that and now it almost took me 12 months to finally get how great she is. At least Esther thinks so and I do too now. :) So if you're still wondering what you're gonna do next weekend,- watch The Hunger Games, it's worth the try. At least do it for Jen, she's great in it! :)

Have a nice week, you guys! :)

  2. Ach Stef!
Das stimmt! :) Aber er sitzt bloß an einem Tisch, fürchte ich, und seine Zeitung erweckt nur den Anschein eines Klavierflügels.. :) Bitte gerne, freut mich, dass du Freude damit hast! :) Viele Bussis!
