ben and jerry's day.

everyone loves ice cream. right? especially when it's free ice cream. that's just fantastic, isn't it? so understandably we were absolutely thrilled when we realized last week that it was the annual ben & jerry's free cone day in vienna again! 

isn't it just exciting to wait in line in front of a cute little ben and jerrys's cart located at one particular spot in each city on one certain day and hoping that you're going to be the next person to get free ice cream (one cone per customer)? well, this year not so much. we've given it a try, believe us. we've waited and waited and the jumpy crowd in front of us still didn't seem to get any smaller. 

so after almost 30 minutes of waiting we did the unthinkable. we went to the other b&j's cart right next to it, bought ourselves some delicious cookie dough ice cream for 3€ and fell into those pretty little loungers in the sand, while watching the raging croud in front of the free-cone-cart. it was hilarious. people jumping up and down, turning tricks to get in front of each other.. that could have been us.. but no, we thought, we'd rather sit there and enjoy the view. 

a day in the park.

what a wonderful beginning of spring! we're so excited that the beautiful warm weather has finally found us! we simply had to pack our bags and decided to spend the day in the 'stadtpark' in vienna. first we made sure that we wouldn't go there hungry, therefore we stopped by this delicious italian self-service restaurant called vapiano (we're sure, you've all heard of it) and then we just sat there in the grass and enjoyed the fantastic view on the pond. 

 later on we started walking around in vienna, as we always do, and bought ourselves some delicious icecream at zanoni (a famous ice-cream store in vienna's first district).

 oh- and by "we" we mean us and our friend thomas, who joined our little adventure tour! - let me introduce to you: tom - aka 'christoph waltz movie lover'- as is vicky. :)

 sadly, our little tour had to end sometime.. so we sat down at our favourite spot at 'donaukanal' and watched ships coming by. all in  all, it was a fantastic sunny afternoon! :)

we want summer!

.. or at least spring! can you hear us, mother hulda? PLEASE! it's been such a long and cold winter and it does not seem to stop. we guess that right now that's a common problem here in europe. however, instead of complaining all the time we should wish and hope and .. look at some photos of our summer-travel-experiences for inspiration. :) 

photoshoot-time.

because of the easter holidays that are happening in austria right now and the thereof resulting boredom taking over our minds, we've decided to do a small photoshoot. the 'model' was vicky and it only took us .. like .. 3 hours to finally get a pic where neither of us had to laugh or cry or where esther wiggled the camera.

so we mostly took pictures of esther's room..

however, in the end, the shoot was quite successfull. at least that's what we think. :) what about you?
